12 Dec Non-Executive Board Director Vacancies
Acorn Executive Search is working with Weightlifting Wales to help identify three new Non-Executive Board Directors.
We are looking for three non-executive directors to join the board of Weightlifting Wales in early 2018, as the sport prepares to move to the next level following the ‘Gold Coast’ Commonwealth Games in Australia in April.
Weightlifting Wales is going from strength to strength, enjoying increasing levels of participation in the community, as well as performance success at elite level. We have also made great strides in developing our governance arrangements, and are committed to continuing this journey, as the board evolves.
In the next stage of our development, we wish to focus on deepening our relationship with our stakeholders and securing yet higher levels of engagement. We would like candidates who have some board experience and are collegiate in their style. We are particularly looking for individuals with skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of finance, fundraising, marketing, business development, HR and communications. The roles are undertaken on a voluntary basis (reasonable expenses will be reimbursed). They offer the successful candidates an opportunity to give to the sport and to Wales.
Interested candidates should submit a CV which includes a covering letter by Wednesday 10 January 2018.
Interviews with shortlisted candidates will take place at the end of January, and successful candidates will take up their role in February.
