Strength and Conditioning Courses

Coaching for peak performance

Strength and conditioning is an essential aspect of all athletes’ training programmes and is crucial for achieving peak performance. The 1st4sport Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport (QCF) Suite is a complete progressional set of nationally accredited qualifications, designed to provide coaches with the knowledge to build well-constructed and effective strength and conditioning programmes.

Developed in partnership with technical experts from the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the Suite consists of:

1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport (QCF)
1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport (QCF)
1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport (QCF)

The qualifications are a must for serious coaches and fitness professionals at every level with learners who choose to progress through each qualification being able to produce a well-constructed programme to support the development of speed, agility, endurance and strength.

All of our course tutors are highly experienced, with the majority being current International Athletes and Coaches .

All attendees will receive high quality resources to support the courses and access to an online video resource.

All Non Members will receive, a complimentary 1 year membership to Weightlifting Wales on payment of their course fees.

  • Reassessments
    Candidates can be reassessed twice within a 24-month period from registration (subject to an assessment fee each time).

    Individual learning needs.

    Please note any requests for specific support or reasonable adjustments should be sent to chris.williams@weightlifting.wales prior to signing up for the course, where they will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Cancellation Policy
    • 50% of the course will be refunded if WW is notified more than 31 days before the course (minus a 10% admin fee)
    • If WW is notified less than 31 days before the course the cost will not be refunded
    • For any cancellation WW can transfer the candidate to a course at a later date if notified 31 days or more prior to the course (incurring an admin fee of £10 per transfer).
