The Cofio Robin Memorial Trust Fund for Development Athletes

The Cofio Robin Memorial Trust Fund is a charity which was established in 2018 in memory of Robin Llyr Evans who died aged 20 in Wuhan, China. The aim of the charity is to support individuals under 25 years old to reach excellence in Sports in the Gwynedd and North Wales areas.

Last year, Commonwealth athlete and Welsh Champion Catrin Had Jones of Bangor Olympic Weightlifting Club, Gwynedd, was one of three athletes to receive the highest award offered by the Trust.

The Fund has also supported athletes in various sports including Athletics, Shooting, Kayaking, Golf, Hockey and Rugby and hopes to support many more athletes throughout North Wales and Anglesey.

Applications for the next year of funding through the trust are now open, with the main eligibility criteria being that you must be under the age of 25.
